Our Associate Psychologist and Client Relationship Manager, Vivek will set up a free discovery call with you, lasting up to 15 minutes, to understand your concerns and hopes from therapy. He will then recommend the therapist most suitable for you and help you book your first session.

At its core, therapy is a meaningful dialogue between two individuals- but beyond the surface, it’s a dynamic and layered process involving exploration, reflection, and acceptance. At Raabta, our therapeutic approach is intentionally integrative, drawing on diverse evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs and informed preferences.

While conversation is central, sessions may also include activities rooted in mindfulness, movement, creative expression etc. Therapists may suggest or guide these practices to support your journey, but participation is always voluntary- never imposed.

All you have to do is show up with openness to the process. If your session involves clinical concerns, we kindly ask that you bring any relevant medical records as well to help us better understand your background and needs. It also helps to think beforehand about what your hopes are from therapy so that we may proceed to goal setting within the first 2-3 sessions.

  • The free discovery call you will be offered with our Associate Psychologist and Client Relationship Manager may last up to 15 minutes.
  • Individual therapy sessions are for 50 minutes and couple therapy sessions are for 60 minutes.
  • Duration of assessments may vary, but the average is 2-3 sessions of 60 minutes each.
  • Coaching sessions are offered as part of a package, usually of 10 sessions with each session lasting 50 minutes.

We kindly request that all rescheduling or cancellation requests be made via Whatsapp to our office at least 24 hours in advance. As a small organization, this notice period helps us honor the time and efforts of our therapists. There are no charges for the cancelled/rescheduled session if the request is made with at least 24 hours’ notice.

Requests made within 24 hours of your scheduled session will result in forfeiture of session fees. This means if there is a no-show for some reason, the session will still be charged. If you are late to the session, the therapist will wait for 15 minutes, post which the session will be considered cancelled if you still haven’t joined.

If a therapist needs to reschedule or cancel, they will inform you prior to the 24 hour window. Should any changes arise within 24 hours from the therapist’s end, a full refund will be offered or a compensatory session will be arranged at the earliest convenience.

Please be advised that our therapists are not crisis intervention specialists and are available exclusively during pre-scheduled sessions. This approach is designed to foster respectful boundaries and ensure dedicated attention during each appointment, while also minimizing the potential for dependence outside the therapeutic frame.

Raabta does not provide emergency services. If you are experiencing acute emotional distress, including thoughts of self-harm or harm to others, or any other mental health crisis, please seek immediate assistance by visiting the nearest hospital or contacting emergency services.

Yes, your privacy is our top priority. Online counseling at Raabta is conducted through secure platforms. Sessions are confidential and your records are accessible only to you, your designated therapist, ensuring anonymity and safeguarding personal information.

The duration of therapy varies widely and depends on multiple factors, including the complexity of the concerns being addressed and the client's level of engagement and commitment to the process. Ethically, it would be inappropriate to promise or predict a fixed number of sessions, as each therapeutic journey is unique and evolves at its own pace.

Yes, our therapists are fluent in English, Hindi, Odia and Marathi.
