MY CORE VALUES:

As a trauma-informed therapist, my core values center around the principles of genuine presence, active listening and empathy. I am committed to understanding your unique positionality within the broader social framework and I prioritize the cultivation of a therapeutic environment that promotes trust and honesty.  

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH/MODALITY:

My therapeutic approach is informed by a psychodynamic orientation. I am also under supervision and training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also utilise an eclectic approach, drawing from various therapeutic modalities like Humanistic and Social Justice to tailor to your unique needs and goals. 

EXPERIENCE: 

I have over one year of experience practicing psychotherapy and counselling. I am currently a fellow at the Contemporary Freudian Society, Washington DC wherein I get to engage with psychotherapeutic texts and discussions to further hone my skills. I have completed a trauma-informed course by the Therapist’s Couch and a relational therapy bootcamp by SafeTherapy. I have also had the opportunity to work in various settings, including Govt. hospitals and NGOs during my training years.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: 

Masters in Psychology (Psychosocial Clinical Studies) from Ambedkar University, Delhi 

Bachelors (Hons.) in Psychology from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.

Individual Therapy- Rs. 1200 for clients based in India 

SOMETHING ELSE ABOUT ME: 

As Winnicott once said, "It's a joy to be hidden and a disaster not to be found", I would want my clients to know that while it may feel safe to be hidden at times, there is also value in being vulnerable and allowing oneself to be found by the other (here, the therapist). I want to facilitate such a journey of discovery by being a medium of trust for my clients.
